2021 Scholarship Application Information

2021 Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must be a Boston Resident, and a high school senior planning to attend college full-time, or an undergraduate returning to college full-time.


  
What is required to apply?

A complete application package includes the following items: your resume, transcript, essay, personal statement and letter of referral.

Resume: Enclose a copy of your resume that includes your e-mail address, home address, telephone number, current school attending, college or university you are planning to attend, major and anticipated graduation date.

Transcript: Enclose a copy of your current official academic transcript.

Essay question: Please complete a two page, type written, double spaced essay that addresses the following questions. The recommended font is Times New Roman 12 pt.

     

  • How do you think the current state of the country is going to affect higher learning opportunities in the next few years? 
  • Why?
 

Personal Statement: Please complete a one-page personal statement on the topic below and submit with your application.

 

  • How would you describe yourself as a person? What quality do you like best in yourself and what area would you like to improve? Please explain why.

 

Letter of referral: Enclose a letter of referral from a faculty member or an academic advisor.

 

Incomplete applications will not be considered!

 

All applications must be postmarked by:

Scholarship Award Provisions & Announcement of Winners

Scholarship Awardees will be notified during the first week of August, 2021.

The Scholarships are awarded to recipients for one academic year and is payable in two payments. 

The scholarship will only be awarded if the recipient provides final application requirements.

Awardee’s failure to provide requested documentation will be reason for forfeiture of scholarship award.
